Is it safe to do this via my mobile phone?

Mobile refuelling with your smartphone does not involve any additional risks. However, it is very important that you secure your phone with a password, PIN code, pattern, or something similar. We have already incorporated this safety feature into the Q8 Smiles app; you cannot add payment or fuel cards if you have not set up a screen lock on your phone.
